I'm a pretty simple girl...I laugh for no apparent reason. I'd rather walk around barefoot than wear shoes and I put my feet on furniture (even in other people's houses). I don't think anyone should ever cry alone. Faith and Courage are the two things that keep me going each and every day...I've learned them both from my mother...In fact, I have Serenity, Courage and Wisdom tattooed on my back in Greek to remind myself of the things I can handle and what I need to just let go of. I love my quiet house, especially when on rainy Sunday afternoons where I can just lay around and be lazy all day. Work is work...I'm damn good at what I do but it drains me, so I love the comfort of my home and the peace I find in it. Other than that...as long as I have a young heart and a smile on my face, I'm a pretty happy person :)
I love just about everything out there right now, including: Breaking Benjamin...awesome in concert! 3 Days Grace...also great show.
Buckcherry...another highlight from last year in concert.
30 Seconds to Mars. Red...very impressed with them and I used Pieces for our slideshow from our Mission trip to a Children's Home over Spring Break...the kids LOVED the song. Hurt...put on one Hell of a show opening for Seether here in K-Town. COPPER! One of my favorites.
Shinedown...preforming at the TN Theater was the BEST...also where I saw Copper for the 1st time. Verona is pretty good...my friend Kristine LOVES them. I like supporting local bands from around town whenever I can. When my grandfather died, he left me his stereo phonograph console that my cousin and I use to listen to records on when we'd visit, so I've been hitting the used record stores and buying anything I can get my hands on. I need a new needle and the sound pretty much sucks but it reminds me of my grandfather and some days I'll just play records all day long.
I love the way 300 was shot, so I'd have to say it was the best movie I saw last year. As for any others: Pirates was good...liked the 1st one the best though. I've read The Lord of The Rings trilogy before so the movies were pretty good as well. The Mummy and The Mummy Returns are two movies that I put on whenever I'm cleaning the house...don't know why but I've got them playing in the background when I clean??? But by far...the best of the best... STAND BY ME!!!! My all time favorite movie!
I'm into Sherrilyn Kenyon and Christine Feehan books right now about a different spin on Vampires...but I love to read just about anything I can get my hands on. Dr. Bill Bass (famous for the Body Farm here in Knoxville) is one of our patients and he's the sweetest man out there. I enjoy his nonfiction and fictional books...his wife's a hoot too...the stories they tell... I love the books I grew up with...Lord of the Flies, To Kill A Mockingbird, And Then There Were None (Ten Little Indians) by Agatha Christie is one of my favorites. There are just too many to list here...
People of Interest:
The two most important people...here on earth...that I cherish above all others...My SON! I'm a single mom and that has to be one of the most challenging and rewarding jobs on the planet. He's so much smarter than me. He's so much more loving than I could ever be. He's all the best that I am and all the best I want to be. He is truly a gift from God. The other person who I hold close to my heart is..My MOTHER who is the strongest person I know. She's battling breast cancer for the SECOND time and is such a trooper that her courage and strength inspires me to get off my ass and stop complaining about the little things.

Places of Interest:
I've lived in Chicago...too cold and windy for me and sorry if this comes out wrong...but everyone there was so rude and uptight...sorry again but I'm from Tennessee...we take things slower here, say HI to our neighbors and sit on our front porches to wave to passersby. I lived in Florida for awhile...which I loved because I worked at a zoo. It was a non-governement funded zoo that housed mistreated and abused/resuced animals no longer able to survive on their own. I gave tours of our wetlands area, played with the deer, got knocked over by Humphrey the 9-foot alligator...that nearly made me pee in my pants, I caged the Red Wolves at night and drove the train to Lemur Island. It was a blast. Other than that, I've vacationed in Puerto Rico...love it there, different parts of Mexico, California (Got my first tattoo at Sunset Tattoos!!!), but that's about all. I'd love to go on a castle tour of Scotland...that's my dream!!!

Things of Interest:
Not much to say here: I'm a barefoot kinda girl. If I could go without shoes, I'd have black feet from all the dirt. I constantly sit on tables, on top of furniture, always have my feet up and once when an ex-boyfriend of mine was cooking dinner for me, I sat on top of the kitchen table with my knees pulled up, watching him cook! I have to sit up front at the movies so no one's blocking my view...I cry at just about every movie I see...I Am Legend, the scene with the dog dying...I bawled my eyes out!!! I have three tattoos: One on my ankle that's a violet with a ladybug by the stem for good luck. The other is a black shark on my lower back...I know sharks aren't necessarily a good sign but for me, I feel they are the ultimate survivors. They haven't had to change since the beginning of time and their strength and power are far superior to ours. I have Greek writing surrounding my shark. The words are Serenity, Courage and Wisdom. If you remember that saying...God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change...etc, that's where I got it from. I have a third on my ankle...a hummingbird and in it's beak is a pink ribbon, to represent all those who are living/battling/surviving and who have lost their lives to Breast Cancer...but especially to give support to my momma!!! I run whenever my knees allow me the exercise. I competitively swam for 12 years but gave it up in college after a shoulder injury. I love the sun, the smell of rain, flowers in bloom, my cat sleeping in my lap and holding my son close to me...don't need much more than that!!!!
